try's "Turn that Lorry Round" theme for National Productivity Year, a survey of the transport operation within its factory at Rochester is being conducted by the Metal Box Co. (see The Commercial Motor, November 16, 1962).
Every driver, on arrival, is handed a slip of paper with a message from the transport officer explaining the survey's aim of reducing turn-round time, and is then asked to supply a few key facts on the reverse side of the paper, notably: "time vehicle is ready for loading or unloading", "time loading or unloading commenced" and " time loading or unloading finished ".
