IF passenger services on the railway line I from Selby to Goole (Yorks) were withdrawn, hardship would be eliminated, with one exception, providing alternative road transport offered by the West Riding Automobile Co. Ltd. was introduced.
This is the view of the Yorkshire area Transport Users' Consultative Committee, following a meeting to hear proposals and objections to the closure, held at Selby last month.
The Committee said that hardship related to scholars travelling from Selby and Hemingbrough to Goole and return.
