production of luxury coach bodies. Plaxtotis (Scarborough) Ltd. also specializes in other types of body, not least of all service bus bodies mounted on A.E.C. Reliance, Leyland. Tiger Cub and Leyland Leopard chassis. Introduced originally in 1957, this body, known as the Highway, has remained in steady production, mainly for operators in North East England.
Two versions are currently produced. one 31 ft. 4 in. and the other 36 ft., and latest orders include two of the former for Bond Bros. Motor Services, Willington, and two of the latter for Gillett Bros. (Motor Services) Ltd., Quarrington Hill. all on A.E.C.
