SIX mid-Lancashire municipal transport operators lying between the major conurbations centred on Manchester and Liverpool are to discuss joint action in I passenger transport. Their immediate purpose is to study the contents and implications I of the White Paper and the first meeting is likely to be early in the New Year.' Participants will include Warrington, Wigan, Widnes, Preston, Leigh, and SO Helens on the municipal side and they will be met by representatives of Ribble Motor Services Ltd., North Western Road Car Co. Ltd., Lancashire United Transport Ltd.,1 and Crosville Motor Services Ltd. It is proposed that an investigation shall be made of
the possibilities of closer integration.
