in which the existing traffic department is integrated. S. C. Rowell, previously group traffic manager, has been appointed to take charge of the new division. His main task will be to co-ordinate traffic operations, vehicle requirements and repair servicing facilities throughout the C.W.S. Mr. Rowell joined the C.W.S. in 1923 and became personal assistant to the traffic manager of the London traffic department. He was appointed manager of the Newcastle department in 1939 and manager of the Manchester department in 1942.
