TWO products manufactured by this company come into the category under review. These are Gre-Solvent Floor and Wall Cleaner and Hilon Degreasant. The former is a powder cleanser which is dissolved in water and gives a once-over cleaning action without unnecessary foam. It costs £2 for a 28 lb. case.
Hilon Degreasant is more applicable to garage floor use where a heavy accumulation of oil or grease has to be removed. Hilon is applied straight from the can by brush or spray and the cleaning action is completed by hosing or washing down with water. The liquid is also suitable for cleaning vehicle chassis, bodywork and machine tools and when used in a vat it will degrease dipped components efficiently.
The price of a 1 gal. drum (with pourer) is 8s. 6d, and the price per gal. reduces progressively as the size of container in which the product is sold increases; in 45 gal. drums the price is 5s. per gal.
