THREE new milk-float bodies have been announced by R. W. Osborne and Son Ltd., Saffron Walden, Essex.
They are the Dairyet Major for the Bedford-Hawson 25-35-cwt. front-end, the Dairymatic Minor Drop On for the B.M.C. 10-12-cwt. chassis/cab and the Dairvmaster Drop On for the Standard Fifteen 15-cwt. chassis/cab. The bodies for the Standard and B.M.C. chassis are similar in construction and in fact many of the parts are interchangeable. As the name given by Osborne implies, they are designed for quick , Mounting on the chassis. Deck sizes for both models are 7 ft. 10 in. long by-Sit. wide with a crate capacity of 20 per layer. Price of model for the Standard. chassis is £115, whilst that for the B.M.C. chassis is £410. Both prices include fitting to the chassis.
The body for the Bedfad -chassis is a larger version of the Dairyet 15-cwt. model, which has been in prodUction for nearly 10 years. The Hawson•cab gives good access and sliding doors are fitted. The deck size is 9 ft. 4.25 in. long by 6 ft. 1.5 in. wide Which gives a crate capacity of 30 per layer and loading height is 3 ft. 2 in. Price with side rave and wing is £240,• whilst a version with full width panels costs £245
