introduced this year by F. W. Berk and Co. Ltd., has just completed seven months' trial at the Stevenage New Town site of J. Mowlem and Co. Ltd. It is claimed that the tests showed that Trier:111ex stands up better to rough handling than rubber hose, weathers better and—by virtue of its light weight—is easier to coil and move about.
Tricot'lex hose is of triple construction. It has a black P.V.C. inner tube with mirror finish to give optimum water flow, a knitted jacket of Tergal polyester fibre to provide strength, and an opaque yellow outer covering of polythene for protection against scuffing, abrasion, oil and grease at temperatures from 14 to 122°F. It is available in three internal diameters
15 mm. (approx. + in.), 20 mm. (approx, in.) and 25 mm. (approx. 1 in.) and in 25and 50-m. lengths (approx. 26 and 55 yd. respectively). As yet it is not nossible to guarantee its working pressure of 100 p.s.i. in greater lengths.
