Labour Party of Woking, last Friday, a resolution declaring "that this meeting rejects the proposed legislation to nationalize the road-transport industry without a preliminary inquiry, and is categorically opposed • to any restriction on ancillary users," was carried.
The motion, proposed by Mr. M. Clark Hall, of the British Road Federation, was opposed by Mr. Gittins, Labour candidate for the constituency in the General Election. The case for road transport was supported from the body of the hall by drivers, hauliers. small tradesmen and members of the general public. Copies of the resolution have been forwarded to all Members of Parliament.
