Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

OUR "Write a Caption" competition, December 29, pulled in a big entry and a good one. We were surprised by both quantity and quality and, believe it or not, similarity. Some captions would have led us into libel actions; others would have had us under the obscenity law; all made us laugh.

We were surprised at how much repetition there was in most entries — especially the tiger cartoon. It rested on the snow, the shopping precinct and the snowdrift entries to decide the winner.

The winner is in sympathy with the drivers' lot in both. In the snowdrift, one of the drivers is asking another "Wot do you mean we're on the wrong road?" But it is the driver in the shopping precinct who clinches it. He is seen to be asking the policeman for "Two tickets for the policman's ball please."

Sorry we can't write to all the entrants but we will, as promised, be sending a Parker pen to the winner in the next few days, He is R. Britts, 15 Mil!field Close, Chichester, West Sussex, P019 4UR.
