Reiver six-wheeler is now offered by Albion Motors, Ltd. The new model is designated RE.31 and is designed for a maximum permissible cross weight of 16 tons.
In a 15-ft.-wheelbase version the RE,31 has a chassis and cab dry weight some 378 lb. less than the existing RE.29 Super Reiver with a double-drive rear bogie. Apart from the changed bogie layout and the fact that RE.31 is 0.5 in. narrower (7 ft. 5.5 in.) than the RE.29, the, two chassis are identical. Both are available in three alternative wheelbases and have Leyland 0.400 engines, five-speed gearboxes with optional sixth-speed overdrive and air brakes.
