IN REPORTING the CPT Coaching Symposium on th Transport Bill (CM, March p24) you say I, along with others, spoke briefly followind the main presentation by Ron Whittle. The brevity of your own report—unavoidable though that be—has "condensed" my, remarks into one puzzling sentence.
In particular, I assure you I did not say "CPT could never sanction competition". CPT does believe in road service, licensing but, as I actually told; members, has always looked for simplification and modernisation of the system. It also looks for new blood in the industry.
I would like to put the record straight. just in case anyone should get the idea that CPT has taken over the prerogatives of Parliament.
