Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

which will be racing shells. I propose to use a 3-ton rigid vehicle for this work, but I do not know if the boats will be too long to carry on the road in relation to the overhang. Could you enlighten me?

ARegulation BI (7) of the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1973, makes provision for the transport of boats used for racing and propelled solely by oars.

Here it is stated that such boats shall not be so carried if the load has a forward or rearward projection exceeding 1.07 metres (3ft 6.12in) in length, unless steps shall have been taken to render the relevant projection clearly visible to other persons using the road within a reasonable distance, from the front if it is a forward projection or the rear if it is a rearward projection and, in either case, from either side...

If the projection exceeds 3.05 metres (10ft 0.084in) then, as well as making the projection visible to other road users as described, you must give notice of the movement to the police in the areas through which the vehicle will pass.

You should remember that Regulation 131 (3) restricts the overall length of vehicle and load to 27.4 metres (89ft 10.74in) and that the conditions already outlined as laid down in Regulation 131 (7) apply if the length of the vehicle and load is over 18.3 metres (60ft).
