Cadwallader, hon. secretary, the "Henry Spurner" Memorial Fund, information that the Institute of Transport, having been approached as a body suitable to accept the administration of some or all the funds, and to establish the appropriate scholarship or scholarships, has agreed to undertake this task. It has notified the chairman of the appeal committee, Mr. E. S. Shrapnell-Smith, C.B.E., Hound House, Sheen, accordingly.
It is the intention of the committee to pay over to the Institute the first £10,000 within a few weeks. The,trust deed will be drawn up by JoynsonHicks and Co., honorary solicitor to the Institute. Widespread support continues to be forthcoming from the roadtransport industry. The list will be closed in July as regards home contributions, but overseas friends will be permitted to participate after that date.
