Fruehauf Trailer Co. will shortly place on the market a new line of stainless-steel commercial trailers. According to the company, this programme is the result of arrangements completed with the E. G. Budd Co., the spot-welding' process of which has been responsible for the development of stainless-steel streamlined railway coaches.
The average trailer hauling a 12-ton load weighs 7,090 to 8,500 lb., but the stainless-steel trailer will, we understand, weigh only about 5,500'lb.
