WITH reference to your "Bird's Eye View" comment V V about model kits for lorries; Wilson's used to advertise quite a lat in a well-known boys' magazine, but they do not seem to any more. They had a most excellent kit, made of metal, of a Foden, and a Tasker's trailer.
I am a lorry driver, and my son has a fleet of Triang " Spot-on " models which we have painted to our own colours, and when I am at home we have an enjoyable hour or two operating our own fleet. One can get any vehicle: rigids and artics., A.E.C.s, Fodens, Guys, Thames Traders, some painted in different companies' colours. They also make a range of buses and coaches, and they have their own "drivers' club" and badge.
For transport men they hold that certain fascination.
