a number of new appointments in connection with the reorganization planned for B.R.S. Ltd., the general haulage company. The following district manager appointments are being made to the newly constituted districts (with former appointments shown in parenthesis):- Northern district—Mr. E. Higgins (district manager, Tyne-Tees); West Midland—Mr. F. Collins (d.m., Birmingham); East Midland —Mr. R. J. A. Thody (dm., Leicester); South Midland—Mr. A. T. G. Scott (d.m., Oxford); South Western—Mr. R. V. Cole (d.m., West of England); East Anglia—Mr. J. W. Calvert (d.m., Peterborough); North Midland—Mr. F. R. Reeves (d.m., East Anglia); North Western—Mr. L. Hill Notts and Derby); Yorkshire—Mr. J. F. Coulson (d.m., East Yorkshire); South Wales—Mr. E. T. Croker (divisional traffic officer. Western). Mr. H. Knox relains his
position as district manager, South Yorks and Lines, •
Further appointments aye being made to newly created posts of headquarters commercial officers covering certain districts. They are:— North Western and North Midland—Mr. S. Washington (d.in., Stoke); Yorkshire and South Yorks and Lincs—Mr. J. E, Rayson (contracts officer, North Eastern); 'West Midland and South Midland—Mr. Er. .1. Mellor (divisional traffic asst., Midland): South Western and South Wales—Mr. J. W. Newman (commercial officer (south-western) Western).
The following appointments to posts of district traffic superintendent are being made:— Vest Midland—Mr. C. Walton (divisional traffic officer, North Western); North Western—Mr. H. P. Sanders (d.m., Manchester); South Wales—Mr. L. E. Briggs (d.m., Cardiff).
