MINISTERS took the view that the IVI existing statutory procedures for regulating provincial bus fares ensured that the national interest was taken into account,
This was stated by Mr. William Rodgers, Under Secretary at the Department for Economic Affairs, when he was asked in the Commons last week to refer to the National Board for Prices and Incomes increases in fares recently approved for certain operators in the Doncaster rural area.
