'j/TR. FRASER last week refused to issue a general direction to British Railways to speed up freight deliveries. Such a direction would not he appropriate, he told Mr, Paul Rose (Labour, Blackley), Mr. Rose also got a refusal when he asked the Minister to direct British Railways to introduce better rates of compensation for lost freight. This was a matter between the Railways Board and their customers, said Mr. Fraser.
