The power unit in both cases is a 60 b.h.p. overhead-valve petrol engine. In the case of the van chassis a fourspeed gearbox is fitted, and in the 4 x 4 the four-speed box is connected to the axles through a two-ratio transfer box.
In the Volkswagen 15-cwt. van to be exhibited the horizontally opposed fourcylindered air-cooled engine and transmission units are mounted at the rear. This model is notable for its double doors on the near side of the body.
