"THE joint managing director of
Trusted l Corporation (Universal), Ltd., Watford, told the Northern Licensing Authority last Friday that his company were no longer prepared to employ British Road Services because of the uncertainty created by denationalization. The concern made steel frames for house construction and distribution had to be planned well ahead.
The contract for conveying the frames, which were 25 ft. long and could not go by rail, had been gained by 011is and Co., Ltd., South Bank-onTees, who successfully applied to add four articulated vehicles to their fleet. Applicants had also undertaken to carry 3.000 tons of Nissen huts for shipment at Middlesbrough.
Objections were lodged by B.R.S. and the railways.
