Mr. Edward Shephard, past-president. said that, wholesalers were fortunate in having -a certain scope as C-licence holders, but to many of .them the 40mile limit was going to cause heavy thinking, as it could add substantially to the cost of distribution. Wholesalers. he thought, had a good case for some concessions, particularly in regard to certain kinds of foodstuff. This was a matter which would have to be taken up by the Association in a national way during the ensuing months.
