REDUCTION in the tax reliefs on the purchase of road goods vehicles was unjustified because haulage was both part of and an extension to the production line, a joint TRTA and RHA delegation told Lord Brown, Minister of State, Board of Trade, on Wednesday.
In reply Lord Brown made it clear that while accepting that road transport would be penalized under the new proposals he could not hold any hope that they would be changed.
