BECAUSE of ill health, Mr. J. Gurney Braithwaite, Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, has resigned. Mr. Braithwaite, who is 58, has held the appointment since 1951.
The first Minister under whom Mr. Braithwaite served in the present Government was Mr. J. S. Maclay, who also resigned, in May, 1952, because of ill health.
