This point was made by M. Levi Sandri, a member of the E.E.C. Commission, when he. addressed the general meeting of the Community branch of the International Transport
Federation in Brussels last week. .
' Emphasizing that, from 1965 onwards. European standards would be fixed for working hours, overtime, composition of crews and supervision through general use of the new individual log book. M. Sandri said that workers and employers would nevertheless be free to negotiate collective agreements fixing even more favourable conditions.
