A TAMAR bridge should be built
forthwith, even though tolls may have to be charged for its use. the Devon and Cornwell Area of the Road Haulage Association and the Devon and Cornwall Division of the Traders' Road Transport Association have resolved.
The division is also to press local Members of Parliament for the immediate lifting of the 20 m.p.h. limit on heavy goods vehicles.
Mr. S. H. Jones, chairman of the Scottish Division of the T.R.T.A., has welcomed the proposal to build a tube tunnel across the Forth. The division resolved that the Government should immediately float a road loan of £500m.
