COR security reasons a paper entitled
"Road Transport in an Emergency" is to be discussed in private at the autumn conference of the National Association of Furniture Warehousemen and Removers at Windsor on October 8. It is to be given by Mr. E. S. Foster. of the Ministry of Transport.
A full programme has been arranged for the one-day conference.. Dr R. F. Paget (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) will follow with 'a. paper on "Safe Lighting and Handling."
The afternoon session includes papers by Mr. Charles A. Davis (Association's solicitor) on "The Occupiers' Liability Act, 1957 and short talks by •Mr. G. Evan Cook and Mr. Bernard E. Sykes (British Road Federation) on modern tendencies in transport.
Finally, Mr. H. F. Marks is to speak on the present position of wages and Mr. Arthur Edwards on the Association's costings committee.
