DELEGATES attending another successful conference organized by the Institute of Transport at Oxford last weekend learnt of at least one example of how conflicting transport interests could be resolved and a firm and prompt decision reached.
Appropriately the president, A. R. Dunbar told the story of how a certain husband would have liked to have lived near enough to have heard the 8 a.m. news at home and still be in his office by 9 a.m. But the lady of the house preferred to reside 30 miles or so out in the country.
Mr. Dunbar lives 30 miles or so out in the country.
