MARKET research for the TRTA maintenance inspection scheme has started within a 25-mile radius of both Leeds and Manchester. Provided there is sufficient demand from operators these areas will be the next to have TRTA vehicle inspectors. The service, launched in June in the London Metropolitan area, is now available also in most of the SouthEastern traffic area.
Some vehicles have now received their second quarterly inspection. In all cases TRTA inspectors report a vast improvement of standards with clean inspection sheets being issued in most cases.
