Corporation to the suggestion that where municipal services were in competition with those of Hebble Motor Services,. Ltd., the Yorkshire Woollen District Transport Co., Ltd., .and the North Western Road Car Co., Ltd., they should all start from the same point, the companies withdrew their opposition to the corporation's use of the town's new bus station.
The Yorkshire Licensing Authority was told last week that terms of payment for the use of the station by the companies had not yet been agreed. If there were no settlement, the question would be referred to the Minister of Transport.
Mr. T. Brown, deputy town clerk of Halifax, said that the petition from shopkeepers and others (The Commercial Motor, October 29) protesting against certain alterations in routes had still to be considered by the council.
The Authority granted variations to allow the corporation to use the station.
