B°ROUGH councils in the area served by the London Transport Executive have been invited to cam
paign against the "reactionary decision" to replace trolleybuses by motorbuses. The organizers of the campaign are the London Passengers' Association, Holborn has decided to refer the matter to the Joint Standing Committee of Metropolitan Boroughs on the ground that the conversion would aggravate air pollution. Mr. A. J. Pomeroy, chairman of the Association, welcoming this response, emphasized that London Transport "must not forget the comfort and convenience of the travelling public."
